Rachel Cooke

Vice President of Engineering

Rachel Cooke is the Vice President of Engineering at SPARC Research. She is responsible for providing strategic direction and promoting a robust engineering workforce in order to allow quick, agile responsiveness to the customer’s needs. Rachel has over 35 years of experience in the aerospace industry focusing in the areas of project engineering, design management, product/process improvement, manufacturing engineering, and quality control.

Prior to joining SPARC Research, Rachel was Principal Project Engineer for Tactical Systems at Aerojet Rocketdyne, formerly Atlantic Research Corporation (ARC). She held other positions during her career which include Manager of Operational Excellence, Engineering Manager, and Principal Manufacturing Engineer.

Rachel holds a B.E. from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Chemical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. In addition, she is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and Lean Manufacturing Specialist.

Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Her hobbies include bowling, hiking, concerts, and sporting events.  She loves to travel and enjoys the beach, lake, and mountains.

SPARC Research is located in Warrenton, VA in the heart of Fauquier County. There is easy access to the Washington DC Metro area, Dulles Airport, and the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park.
