Dan Glanz serves as SPARC Research’s Director of Engineering Analysis, leading the company’s structural analysis efforts and helping guide technical strategy across its propulsion programs. A recognized Subject Matter Expert in solid rocket motor nozzle analysis, Dan has extensive experience designing and analyzing structural components for space and military solid rocket motors.

Throughout his career at SPARC, Dan has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, mission-focused solutions for some of the nation’s most critical defense programs. He is the primary author of SPARC’s internal guidelines for Solid Rocket Motor Nozzle Analysis and has produced extensive technical documentation supporting the company’s engineering programs. In addition to his technical leadership, Dan is committed to mentoring fellow engineers, sharing knowledge, and strengthening SPARC’s culture of engineering excellence.

Before joining SPARC, Dan served in the U.S. Army, completing two combat deployments to Afghanistan as a Civil Affairs Assistant Team Leader and Team Leader. He retired at the rank of Captain after a distinguished military career during which he received two Bronze Star Medals, a Purple Heart Medal, and the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award. The integrity, resilience, and servant leadership Dan demonstrated in uniform continue to shape his approach to supporting SPARC’s employees, customers, and mission.

Outside of work, Dan is an escape-game curator. He and his wife own and operate Puzzle Room Live in Culpeper, Virginia.
