Internships & Mentoring

SPARC Research welcomes you to further your education and gain hands-on experience.

College Internships – We offer College Internships at all levels to those who are seeking hands-on experience in propulsion, design, and programming.
High School Internships – We also provide paid internship opportunities for high school students, as well as unpaid internships required for school curriculums.
Mentoring – We offer mentoring to students to help them gain experience by individual instruction, and providing hands-on experiences.

Senior Propulsion Engineer

The Senior Propulsion Engineer will perform and lead propulsion design engineering assignments that require the application of engineering principles, theories, and concepts to develop components and integrated propulsion systems for missile programs; using 3D CAD tools, design propulsion systems, tooling, and components that will support the creation of detailed drawings used for manufacturing/procurement; work as a member and or lead of a team with other disciplines to mature designs through component and system analyses and testing and support design reviews; prepare and present their work at internal and external customer reviews; provide support or lead new business activities through preliminary designs, trade studies, and planning as required.

SPARC Research is located in Warrenton, VA in the heart of Fauquier County. There is easy access to the Washington DC Metro area, Dulles Airport, and the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park.

Breweries

Fauquier County is truly for Craft Beer Lovers, and everyone from the weekend travelers to the most experienced beer experts from around the world is taking notice. In the last decade, the Fauquier craft beer scene has exploded, with new breweries popping up across the county where visitors can soak in some local flavor.

Shenandoah National Park

At SPARC Research, our team loves to explore the outdoors. Having easy access to disconnect and breathe the fresh air in some of the state’s most scenic national parks is a priority.

Fauquier County is home to a diverse collection of wine makers. Less than an hour from Washington, D.C., these northern Virginia wineries offer the perfect escape with historic small towns, rolling hills, horse farms, and views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
