Dr. Patrick Hewitt is the visionary founder and CEO of SPARC Research. He is responsible for defining the company’s vision and leading the strategic direction of the company. Dr. Hewitt holds over four decades of experience in the aerospace industry and is regarded as a leading subject matter expert in air-breathing propulsion.

Prior to founding SPARC Research in 2018, Dr. Hewitt served as the Director of Air-Breathing Programs at Aerojet Rocketdyne, formerly Atlantic Research Corporation (ARC). Dr. Hewitt has authored over 50 technical papers and reports and holds three patents.

Dr. Hewitt holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.

When he’s not having fun at SPARC Research or enjoying the family, Pat heads to the outdoors – hiking, fishing, and hunting.
