Laura Thompson began working at SPARC Research as a high school intern in 2019. After high school graduation, she worked full-time for SPARC as she took a gap year prior to starting college. Jason Bruggemann joined the company in 2020 as our 11th employee after graduating from Ohio State. Laura showed Jason the ropes of airbreathing engine analysis, flyout predictions and software development. They enjoyed working together and quickly learned that they shared many common interests outside of engineering. They began dating shortly after Laura’s gap year came to an end and she headed to Princeton to complete her degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering. In June of 2025, after Laura’s graduation, the two were married.
According to Jason, “Our friendship that was first developed at SPARC has only continued to grow and we were thrilled to get married at the end of June this year. We’re looking forward to many more happy years together.”
Congratulations, Laura and Jason! Your friends at SPARC Research have been blessed to watch the two of you grow both as individuals and as a couple during your time with us. We wish the two of you a lifetime of love and happiness!
